BE SURE YOUR NEXT BREEDER HAS OFA CERTIFIED HIPS(by the way, the correct scoring of hips is either excellent, good or fair NOT normal, normal is not a correct score of hips), OFA CERTIFIED NORMAL ELBOWS (THIS IS JUST AS MUCH OF IMPORTANCE AS THE HIPS AS MANY OVERSEAS GOLDENS HAVE ELBOW DYSPLASIA), OFA NORMAL HEARTS AND EYES ARE NORMAL WITH A CERTIFICATE CALLED A CERF.  THIS IS THE CODE OF ETHICS OF THE NATIONAL GOLDEN RETRIEVER CLUB OF AMERICA.  IF WE DON'T SUPPORT THE BREEDERS WHO DO THESE IMPORTANT STEPS WE ARE DOING THE GOLDEN RETRIEVER BREED MUCH HARM INDEED.

I recently found a breeder who says they have OFA clearances on their dogs but in fact they do not.  I also found another breeder who doesn't list elbow clearances because the parents didn't pass!  It so sad as you don't want a puppy who will have to have elbow replacement due to greedy breeders.  You can go to www.offa.org online and type in the full registered name of the parents and it should be listed if clearances are done indeed (unless breeder has just submitted them to OFA or CERF, but if they have they still have the certificates that they can scan, fax or mail to you).  Please do your homework and buy your next puppy from an honest breeder.  Unfortunately the scam world is getting worse every day and some breeders are part of it.
Also, there are breeders who make it MANDATORY (if you don't do this they make their contract to you void) to supplement your puppy with unneccessary and unhealthy supplements and vitamins as THEY get HUGE monthly commission checks for doing so.  These vitamins are extremely expensive (costing almost a $100.00 a month) and are very unhealthy for your growing puppies causing build up of extra calcuim which is causing overgrowth of bone and joint problems. They tell you that the calcium is water soluable which is true but you can still get too much and it can cause kidney damage and lead to dysplasia in your puppies.  By feeding your puppy a high quality LARGE breed puppy food they have all the vitamins and minerals they need in order to grow at the rate that is necessary for a large breed puppy.  PLEASE REMEMBER ALWAYS CHECK WITH YOUR PUPPY'S VET BEFORE GIVING ANY ADDED SUPPLEMENTS OR VITAMINS.
 IF YOU PAY A DEPOSIT TO HOLD A PUPPY AND YOU DON'T LIKE WHAT YOU SEE, AT PUPPY PICK UP TIME, YOUR DEPOSIT WILL BE REFUND BACK TO YOU.  I REFUSE TO HAVE MY PUPPIES GO TO HOMES WHERE THEY ARE UNWANTED!!!!!!!

I, as a Golden Retriever reputable breeder, have put a great amount of time, money, and thought into the goals that I want to obtain.  My goals are to produce puppies that are healthy, intelligent, beautiful and have the Golden personality so that you can have the joy of having a Golden Retriever as part of your family for a very long time.
